VPSI Corporate Overview

In order to conduct IT service delivery in accordance with the Third Offset Initiative of the DoD, IT service delivery must be established by a formalized approach, in accordance with industry best practices, and DoD instructions. Conducting IT service delivery accordingly improves service availability, reliability, and security.

The Third Offset is not just about technology and innovations; it is about finding the right combination of technologies and operational and organizational constructs that will achieve decisive operational advantage on time and within budget. In the current fiscal climate, as budgets tighten, there is no room for excess. Service delivery must be efficient and effective, while delivering value to the enterprise.

VPSI Demonstrated Capabilities

⋆ We leverage CMMI and ISO based industry best practices to define the goals of incident, problem, change, and service management for the restoration of normal service as quickly as possible, while minimizing any adverse impact on business operations.

⋆ Our ITIL based ITSM service delivery model serves as the overarching framework for service delivery, performance monitoring, quality assurance, and progress reporting to client stakeholders.

⋆ Our process driven approach to Operations and Sustainment (and its associated activities), ensures effective day-to-day sustainment and support of IT services post engineering, and deployment.

We combine strong IT systems engineering practices with domain know-how to create an environment that promotes innovation without added risk. This level of thinking promotes alternative approaches that regularly result in a higher-impact capability that can be implemented with fewer resources.

VPSI Project Experience

⋆ Center for Information Warfare Training: Our team of 45 network, systems, helpdesk, and desktop administrators are responsible for providing end-to-end IT service delivery across seven networks (NIPR, SIPR, TS/SCI JWICS, and NSANET), across four physically disparate sites (Corry Station, FL; Damn Neck, VA; Groton, CT; and San Diego, CA).

⋆ Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC Pacific), Data Center Operations: We supported the development, integration, deployment, maintenance, and operation of the NIWC Pacific Data Center Hosting Environment for over ten years. We were responsible for over the daily operation of 130 laboratories supporting both the end users, and the business applications—in both the NIWC PAC Classified (Secure Wide Area Network (SWAN)) and Unclassified environments. We were tasked with aiding in the provisioning of network services and operations, virtualized hosting support, network administration, database administration, Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP), configuration management, performing network and system security, and updating technical Documentation.

⋆ Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), DISN Global Services (DGS): We provide the 24/7 Network Operations Center (NOC) services necessary to manage and maintain the GIG. We performed Computer Network Operations & Computer Network Defense (CNO/CND) monitoring and management of DGS network devices including firewalls, Host based security systems (HBSS) and VPN connections within established performance metrics.
