VPSI Appoints Cyber Security Technical Manager

VPSI announced today that it has appointed Mr. Michael Anderson as its Cyber Security Technical Manager. “Cyber Security is evolving into perhaps the greatest threat to face our nation in some time- to remain vigilant and ready to support the mission requirements of our clients, it is imperative that VPSI remains at the forefront of this evolving threat vector.” said Paul Ilg (CEO, VADM USN ret), “For this reason we are appointing Michael to this role- he has a wealth of experience and is respected as a Subject Matter Expert in this field.
As VPSI’s Cyber Security Technical Manager, Mr. Anderson will provide guidance and expertise for VPSI’s cyber security workforce and customers across the corporation. He will ensure VPSI is current with Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, and National Institute of Standards and Technology cyber security requirements. Mr. Anderson will lead the company’s Information Assurance Working Group and manage VPSI’s accreditation test lab.
Mr. Anderson is a former Navy Information System Technician with over 30 years of comprehensive experience in information technology support, communications planning and operations, Acquisition Information Assurance Strategies, cyber security compliance, and accreditation. Mr. Anderson, as a Fully Qualified Navy Validator (FQNV) has overseen more than fifty Interim Authority to Test, Interim Authority to Operate Authority to Operate, and Denial Authority to Operate packages under the DIACAP process. He has also participated the Navy Risk Management Framework transition initiative and is considered by many a Subject Matter Expert in this field.
